The NOX 5F earmuffs offer hearing protection for professionals working in a variety of noisy environments.

OPTIMAL HEARING PROTECTION AND SAFETY STANDARDS

The NOX 5F offers a noise reduction level with an SNR of 32 decibels. Higher frequencies that fall within the range of 2,000 to 8,000 Hz – typical for an industrial environment – are reduced to an even greater extent, by up to 40dB. HASPRO NOX 5F earmuffs also come equipped with a yellow stripe on the ear cups. This improves visibility of the wearer, vital for those working in any environment with reduced visibility, such as dark areas or places with high volumes of traffic.

MAXIMUM COMFORT

HASPRO NOX 5F earmuffs have been specially designed for prolonged use. Made using modern, lightweight materials, they weigh in at just 340 grams, making them suitable for use across many hours without causing discomfort. The space left between the user’s ear canal and the earmuffs’ insulation layer allows for better ventilation, reducing the buildup of moisture and heat. NOX 5F earmuffs also feature larger, softer, moisture resistant ear cushions that offer a better fit and a further reduction in the risk of water absorption.

ADJUSTABLE FIT

For greater comfort and convenience, the product’s headband can be easily adjusted to offer the desired fit of each user.

MODERN AND RESISTANT CONSTRUCTION

Industrial environments are often characterized by demanding, physical work that comes with an inherent risk of bumps and scrapes.  This is precisely why the HASPRO NOX 5F earmuffs have been made using shock resistant materials that can withstand the intensity of manual labor.

HASPRO NOX 5F earmuffs are also fully foldable. This makes them portable and easy to store – meaning they are always to hand when you need them.

Why is hearing protection so important?

High noise levels aren’t just bad for our hearing, they can have a negative impact on our concentration, efficiency, and overall wellbeing. The longer we remain exposed to excessive noise, the faster we feel tired. This can cause fatigue, headaches, and dizziness, with further health complications also possible.

INSTRUCTIONS

The product is designed to provide protection against excessive noise. Please read the instruction manual before use.

IMPORTANT:

Before use, read the attached instructions for use or download it in pdf form available on the manufacturer's website www.hasproearplugs.com. Always follow the instructions. Incorrect use of the earpieces, poor fit or non-compliance with the recommendations, instructions may reduce their effectiveness and cause a risk of hearing loss or injury. Keep the instructions until you stop using the protectors. In the event of non-compliance with the safety rules and the use of protectors as well as non-compliance with the recommendations, the manufacturer is not responsible for the resulting damage. If you feel buzzing, ringing in your ears or you suspect that your hearing may have been damaged during the use of protectors or after exposure to impulsive noise (e.g. a firearm shot), immediately leave the noise zone and contact a specialist or doctor. Keep away from children, some materials (e.g. plastic bag) may be swallowed.

WARNING

The attenuation felt by users may slightly differ from the values given in the table depending on the ability to fit the protectors and their proper use. For environments with noise levels below 500hz, refer to the weighted noise level C.

The values in the table represent the Simplified Attenuation Ratio (SNR), which is based on the suppression of continuous noise (e.g. machine noise, sawing, grinder). firearms), the damping factor (SNR) cannot be an accurate indicator of protection against this type of noise. When in the risk zone of high-intensity impulsive noise, it is recommended to use additional hearing protection measures, such as earplugs or other suitable for optimal hearing protection. Staying in the zone of impulsive noise can damage or cause hearing loss. In case of doubts regarding the selection of the appropriate hearing protector for the existing noise, one should follow the attenuation value given in the attenuation table or contact a specialist.

HOW TO USE

Before use, check that the earmuffs are clean and free from damage.

In case of damage, it is recommended to immediately discontinue use and replace it with a new one.

If the protector is properly maintained and fitted, it provides optimal attenuation and protection against noise.

It is forbidden to modify the protectors. This may have a negative effect on the damping efficiency.

Remember to properly adjust the pillows and the headband so that it is pressed against the head but does not cause discomfort and pain.

The protectors, and in particular the pillows, wear out with use. They should be regularly checked for damage, cracks.

If possible, replace worn elements with new ones (e.g. pillows) at least once every 6 months, depending on use, to ensure adequate damping, comfort and hygiene.

It is recommended to replace ear muffs with new ones on average every 2-3 years, depending on use. In the event of visible damage or wear that may affect the effectiveness of the damping, it is recommended to replace it sooner.

It is not recommended to replace individual parts or use substitutes, it may reduce the effectiveness of damping or damage the protectors.

The protectors are adjustable, small (S), medium (M) and large (L) in accordance with EN 352-1. For most users, the optimal size will be medium (M).

INSERT AND REMOVAL

Follow the graphical instruction.

1. Pull apart the inserts, put on the headband passing over the head.

2. Place the earbuds over the ears, adjust the height for optimal comfort by moving the earbuds up or down while holding the headband in place. Make sure the headband rests over the top of your head to ensure proper alignment.

3. Make sure the ear cushions fit snugly around your ears and are effective at reducing noise.

4. It is recommended to remove hair and other elements from under the pillows, which may affect the attenuation of the earpieces.

CARE AND CLEANING

Use a soft cloth and warm soapy water for cleaning. IMPORTANT: Do not immerse the ear muffs in water. It is not recommended to use chemicals or detergents that could damage the protectors. If necessary, disinfection can be carried out depending on the frequency of use, on average every 3 months, using means suitable for disinfecting this type of products, user-friendly and harmless. If the hearing protector gets wet (e.g. when used in the rain), allow it to dry completely. Protect from high temperatures (max <55 ° C), keep dry and cool
